A valley masterpiece, framed by the hills

Designed by Brian M. Silva and opened in 1995, routed across the floor of the Valmarecchia valley at around 80 metres above sea level, the championship course is an 18-hole par 72 that asks for precision off the tee and patience around the green. Verucchio's Rocca Malatestiana and the towns of Torriana and San Leo rise on the skyline through the round, with San Marino's Three Towers coming into view on the closing holes.

The Championship Course

Eighteen holes. One skyline. No two rounds the same.

The course plays at 6,145 metres from the white tees — par 72, with a course rating of 72.0 and a slope of 131. Length is not its weapon; the Valmarecchia breeze, the subtle breaks on deceivingly smooth greens, and the constant pressure of that skyline are.

The course rewards the long hitter who also thinks, and asks for real club selection on its par 3s rather than raw distance. Silva's routing keeps the test varied hole to hole, with water from the Marecchia's tributaries in play at several points on the round.

The course was routed to sit lightly on the valley floor, with hedgerow corridors flanking many holes. Walking is welcomed and caddies are available by arrangement.

Seven holes. Same valley. No handicap required.

A compact loop alongside the championship course — seven holes totalling around 2,040 metres. Ideal for juniors, beginners, corporate outings, twilight rounds, or a quick second nine when you can't put the clubs down. The same Valmarecchia views apply.

How long is the course?

The championship course is 18 holes, par 72, approximately 6,145 metres, designed by Brian M. Silva and opened in 1995. There is also a 7-hole executive course of approximately 2,040 metres.

What is the signature hole?

Holes 17 and 18 both offer direct views of the Three Towers of San Marino on Monte Titano — hole 17 is our signature par 4, and hole 18 is a closing par 5 that finishes in front of the clubhouse veranda.

When is the course open?

For the 2026 season the course is open every day from 17 March to 4 October. Outside that window it is closed on non-holiday Mondays. Secretariat hours are Mon–Fri 08:30–17:30 and Sat–Sun 08:00–17:30.

Can I walk the course?

Yes. Hand and electric trolleys are available for hire from the pro shop, and electric carts are available for those who prefer to ride.

Is the course suitable for beginners?

The 18-hole championship layout is challenging but fair. Beginners and juniors are also well served by our 7-hole executive course, and our academy runs beginner group and individual courses covering swing fundamentals, short game, etiquette and on-course experience.
